Anne With An “E” Now On Netflix + Giveaway #StreamTeam

I grew up watching Anne of Green Gables. Unfortunately, my daughter thought it was a little outdated and could never get into it. Then Netflix did some of their behind the scenes magic and created the new Netflix Original Series Anne With An “E”. We turned it on, and I’ve seen naysayers out there who just couldn’t get into it because they are devoted to the original, but for us there was room in the entertainment compartment of our minds to love them both.

I think because there is a certain nostalgia associated with Anne of Green Gables show and books, some people just can’t get into the new show. They are missing out. We have only been able to watch the first three episodes, and we have loved them. Amybeth McNulty puts her twist on the beloved character I grew up watching, and my daughter loves her.

A plucky orphan whose passions run deep finds an unlikely home with a spinster and her soft-spoken bachelor brother. Based on “Anne of Green Gables.”

We will watch as Anne changes and transforms the lives of Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert in what’s sure to be a great series. So far, I’ve loved that my daughter has a role model in Anne and can see how someone who hasn’t always had the easiest life can inspire others through her strength and handling of situations. We can’t wait to finish watching season one of Anne with an “E” and see what else Anne brings to the table. I’m super excited for some mother/daughter time as we go on whatever adventure Anne with an “E” takes us on next.
